house hunting?
i'm always in the 'wait and see' mode when it comes to buy a house/property.
yes i want to buy a landed house,
but most of the prices now are quite ridiculous i feel like i want to smack somebody in the face for being too greedy. lolx
and i always feel happy when i browse through my fb timeline and saw friends with their new houses.
what captured my eyes was if it's a landed one; either a terrace or if they bought a land and built their own house.
and that encourages me more to look for a landed home to live.
..but to no avail.
at first i was thinking of registering myself in the CSRU program.
it's a civil servant reserved unit program where civil servants can buy a house with 25% discount. so the hope is still there.
at least i have a chance to buy a landed home in putrajaya (where i work and stay now).
but recently when i saw their website, i realized the prices are increasing ridiculously!
an apartment now costed 400k (starting price, after 25% discount) and
a standard terrace now costed 700k (starting price too) T_T
now how an intermediate-income-level civil servant like me can afford a standard terrace with that kind of cost?? nobody can, i guess.
so who are they selling these expensive houses for??
(mind you, it's just a standard terrace. last time i checked, with 600k you can get a semi-D and with 400k you can get a terrace)
it is quite frustrating of how this property price trend increases like crazy.
it is almost impossible for everyone (intermediate) to buy a house. guhh.
but recently i saw this one new housing project quite near putrajaya.
not semenyih, not seremban.. as they are somewhat far too.
i was thinking, if it's semenyih with 30 minutes travel time to putrajaya, might as well i find myself a house in shah alam. lolx
the design is a bit contemp.. like most of the house designs we see these days.
something like this :
kind of nice, isn't it?
but the lots are a bit limited so we have to move fast.
not saying that i'm gonna buy it; but let's just say that we're gonna see it first and see how it goes.
if it doesn't fit our expectations, we may wait for other projects (if affordable one still exists) or may be just live at the government quarters until we're grey or something. hahaha
it's not that big, but sufficient for our little family (i don't like massive house either if it doesn't fit the purpose).
it is guarded, so get ready for extra monthly charges.
it will be built at a potential developed area (i'm expecting more amenities in the future?)
the developer claims that it will have a nice landscape, so let's pray for that (because my first impression of that area.. quite dusty with the industrial things going on. but if they're going to gate and guard it, and put more greens it in, then it should be okay).
most importantly it is near putrajaya. LOL
but as i say, we have to do more checking on the project and developer before we make our decision.
we don't need another abandoned project, do we?
hope it suits us well,
but i don't want to expect much.
just pray Allah will give us the best.
cheers :)
